Another year is over!

We want to wish all of you a Happy New Year! Hopefully you enjoyed the holiday season and had a wonderful 2011.

As for us, we thought it was a great year - lot's of hard work but it was worth it. We spent many, many hours in the studio and in front of the computer working on our new album "When we're together", a brand new website and lot's of other things related to our music.

You'll soon get to see some of the outcome. 2012 will be the year to release everything we've worked on during the last months and we can't wait to see how you're going to like it. We're also planning to do lot's of shows in the future.

Thanks for your support and for sticking with us during the last 12 months. You'll get to hear more of us soon! All the best and may your wishes come true.

Music and Pizza

We just wanted to give you a quick update on what is going on at the moment. As you might have already heard, we finished the recordings for our new album "When we're together" a couple of weeks ago.

It's going to be a CD with original songs and at the moment we're still mixing them, which is quite a tricky business. It's like you've got all the ingredients for a great meal and now have to find the perfect recipe for the "fine-tuning". You pretty much know how it's supposed to taste in the end but in order to get there you have to find the right spices and figure out the right cooking time etc. You can prepare a meal with the same basic ingredients in a 100 different ways and it will taste completely different each time.

When you eat pizza you wouldn't want the dough, the tomatoes, the ham, the cheese and the spices served separately. One that's shredded in a blender won't make you happy either. Sorry for my rambling about food here, I think I'm just a little hungry. That makes me think about the guitar track as a piece of bacon ... anyway, we are still working to make each song as tasty as possible.

Besides that, we're spending the rest of the time working on the album layout (we're shooting individual booklet fotos for every single song) and a completely new website with a whole bunch of new features.
We know you don't really see us doing much but believe us, we're working hardcore behind the curtain which we will drop soon!

Again thanks for your patience, we're now going to order some Pizza and certainly won't blend it.

Paul McCartney Concert

Yesterday was SUCH an amazing day! We flew to Cologne/Germany to see a concert of Paul McCartney at the Lanxess Arena. We're still overwhelmed and a bit dizzy in the head but the 3-hour concert already owns a spot in the "5 best moments of our live" ;)

For us it was so great to see our biggest idol live on stage so we're still running around the house with a major smile on our faces. We'll certainly never ever forget that day!

Before the concert we met up with a lovely local fan and today (before we took the plane back to Vienna) we visited the new "Music Store" in Cologne which moved and is even bigger now. You could probably spend days in there!

We just came back from the airport and we'll go to bed soon but we just had to tell you about this first!
Tomorrow it's time to get back to work!

Mixing and Design Work

We just came back from a photoshoot we did for the CD booklet to the soon to be released album. It's title will be "When we're together".

At the moment we are working simultaneously on the CD cover/booklet design, the new website/shop and of course on mixing the songs and preparing for mass production. We are doing very well and the end is definitely in sight!

We will let you know as soon as you can start pre-ordering the album!

Recordings finished

Album Recordings nearly finished

Hey guys! The album work is going along really well. We did a lot of experimenting with some new equipment and vintage gear we got (also guitars) and we are getting closer to the sound we have in our minds.

Unfortunately there have been some unexpected things coming up the last weeks that delayed work a bit but we are enjoying making this CD a lot and really try to make it as good as possible.

CD Production Update
20 June 2011

The last couple of months we have been working on our new album with original songs. We finished writing all of the songs and have recorded a lot of them already.

As usual we're working in our own recording studio with our Dad as the producer. It's lots and lots of fun and we thank you guys for sticking with us even though we haven't released much lately. We are working hard on the new CD though and are looking forward to presenting it to you.

We'll hopefully have it finished in a couple of months!

New Video "While my guitar gently weeps"

Late Night Show - It is 5 o'clock in the morning as I am writing this. Lisa is at the studio with dad now giving the new song the finishing touch. We've worked all night as we are leaving tomorrow (well, today actually) for a small trip with our little cousin. The new video will be up by the time you read this. Back home in good old Austria

Our trip to Germany is over and we're back home. We've really enjoyed it and learned an awful lot about guitars and technical stuff. We've now sorted out all the flyers and booklets we'd collected there, stored all the pics and vids on our server and started recording the new cover song we want to make for you guys. We also used the new guitars we bought which sound awesome so far. In a few days we'll start cutting the video and in about a week you should be able to watch the new clip. Fun, fun, fun!

Music Trade Fair Frankfurt

Today's been the 2nd day at the fair. We'll still be here tomorrow and then be leaving Saturday morning. The fair is beyond our expectations ... We knew it was big but this is really massive. There is just so much to see! We've spent the whole first day in just one building (the electric guitars one) and there are like eight or nine of them.

It is a lot of fun here. We've learned extremely much and got to test even more awesome guitars. We also decided to do another cover song for you (as it will still take a while until you'll get to hear our originals), so we filmed some scenes to cut in the next music video. Be prepared!

Musicstore Köln (Cologne)

Today we've spent the 2nd day at the Musicstore in Cologne. It's amazing here! We've tested so many guitars and stayed in the testing room with the Vox amps for pretty much the whole day. We've got to try out nearly everything we were interested in (mainly semi acoustic ones or a "Rickenbacker") and now have a really good overview about all the guitars and what we need in order to get the sound we want. We are looking for that 60ies sound, a bit more dirty and Rock n' Roll.

It's really late at night here as we've also visited the "Musikkeller (music cellar) Dorsten" after the Musicstore had closed. It's a Vintage shop a little north of Cologne (which we didn't know of before) that some Musicstore staff recommended to us. It was insane! Lines and lines of Vintage guitars and basses! Of course we couldn't leave empty handed. We now own a rare "Framus", 12-string with a tremolo and a damper. It sounds so amazing! We're all really happy! Dreamin' of guitars tonight ...

Germany's waiting

We're going to Germany! Last week we decided to visit the Musikmesse Frankfurt (a big trade fair in Frankfurt where thousands of people go to every year) as we 1^st have never been there before and 2^nd want to get an overview about what’s new on the music market. We will be there April the 6th, 7th and 8th. If anyone of you will be there too, just let us know so we can meet up.

Before we go to Frankfurt we'll also stop in Cologne for two days (4th and 5th) and visit the "Musicstore Cologne",  Europe's biggest music shop. We intend to test lots and lots of guitars there as we discovered that so many instruments we wanted to try out are just not in stock here in Vienna. Like a "Rickenbacker" or some "Gretsch" guitars. Again, if you live in Cologne, let us know!

New Video "All I have to do is dream"

We finally made a new cover video!
Last week we went on a skitrip to Salzburg, Austria and decided to record a cover song there as we had to make a break from working on our new album at the studio back home. It's a classic by the Everly Brothers which has a lot of nice harmonies.

We recorded it live in a little room of our holiday house where the acoustics were quite nice. We also went outside and shot some footage to cut in the video. It snowed a lot while we were there so we had the beautiful white alps as a pretty background scenery. Even for us it is still amazing when we visit the western part of Austria with all the mountains and snow. We can't wait to go back there next winter ... Unfourtunately there are no alps in Vienna ;)
