Bio Mona Hi there, here's Mona!
I'm very lucky to have a father and a step-mother who support me
very much in this direction. And also the rest of my family and
my music teachers
have helped me a lot to achieve the skills I have today. But you can
read more about this on the related pages of this website.
However: music always meant the world to me - I don't know what I'd have done except music. Later I want to choose music as my future profession whereat it's not about becoming famous at all. Some kids say: "You will be a very star some day!". Then I use to reply: " For me it's about making good music that touches people, about music they would like. It's not about getting famous. If one writes good music he automatically will become a celebrity." That's my opinion about "being famous". J Basically I listen to nearly every kind of music ... probably except operatic and classical music. But I find that there are good songs in every music style. Only the songs broadcasted on the radios most of the time are very onesided, without much diversity. There is so much good music existing on this planet but they mostly feed us with the same junk. I stopped listening to radio about one year ago. That was when I started to take a great interest in the Beatles and the music of the 60ies.
The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who,
Chuck Berry, Elvis, Ray Charles, Santana, Bob Marley, Norah Jones,
The Last Shadow Puppets, John Mayer, The Police and The Birds ...
that are bands and singers who have something down pat. They make
(or made) "real" music and their songs had (have) messages and
background. The more I listen to such music the less I can stand
the mishmash in the radio (Britney, Kate
Perry, Rihanna, ...).
But besides music I have tons of other hobbies, of course. I have
always been a "wild child" and I love nature, especially animals
;) I have been going horseriding for 5 years and had many pets.
Unfortunately I don't have time for riding anymore - school, music
AND riding does not work. That's a pity but you can't have
everything :). Nevertheless I did not lose it, as you can see in the
"California Dreaming" video. Besides all that I just like things that every 14 year old girl likes to do. Of course, I like to go shopping with friends or watching a good movie at the cinema. I also love to spend hours in front of my computer or in bed reading books or just snoozing.
You can see that I'm also fond of drawing - for example, here's my "howling wolf" (acryl on canvas) J. But I have to admit that the subject is not mine. I just portrayed it. After all I'm interested in anything creative! And that's exactly what is being encouraged in our school. Lisa and I attend the 9th grade of Polgarstreet Junior Highschool in Vienna. In this school especially sports and music is promoted very much. I am very proud of our super successful soccer and volleyball teams! J
But we also have very good musicians due to our fantastic music
teachers. If you want to see them, just go to
music teachers
where we will introduce them to you.

Name: Mona
Wagner
Born: Yes, on 16 June 1994
Education:
9th grade Musical Highschool
Career Aspiration: Musician
Instruments: Drums, Percussion, Guitar, my voice
Hobbies: making music, listening to music, composing/songwriting,
meeting friends, moovies, horseriding, skiing, reading, drawing,
computers, sports, traveling
Inspiring examples: For me the Beatles are the best example of people who have moved crowds with their music. Wether you like their music or not: Such people are heroes as they have accomplished the "Unimpossible"! I think without the "Fab Four" I would not love music that much as I do today. Or take Elvis: His death had hit thousands of people who all loved his music.
But only that I admire their music does
not mean that I approve their way of life: Many artists did and do
take drugs. And you can notice it without exception: As soon as they
start with drugs, they go to the dogs (as we say in Austria) ... Drugs and alcohol
are dangerous stuff and destroy everything - no matter who is taking
them!
