Hi there!

Thanks for dropping in! I don't know what you expected to read on this page but I will try to introduce myself and tell you a bit more about me personally.

Mona Portrait

I'll start with my name, age, homecountry and all these unimportant things so we can quickly get into the fun stuff. I was born in June 1994 in a hospital in Vienna/Austria. I was late – once again – and came second. Only because of 5 damn minutes I will have to be Lisa's "little sister" for the rest of my life! But well – life isn't always easy, is it?

The major part of my life is dominated by music because that's just what I really want to do – music, music, music! After 9 years of compulsory school education we finally dropped out of high school so we could concentrate more on our music. We are writing songs, recording and arranging them, practice, and always have a lot to do on our website, on Youtube and similar sites, and with the CD selling. In other words, there is no time to get bored!

The time of the day which I love most usually are the evenings when we all sit together working on a song because it is just an amazing feeling when we have written something good and can say: "Wow, hey that's ours!" That's something I can't really describe but it just feels great :)

Although we don't go to school anymore we still have music-lessons four times a week (drums, guitar, vocal and theory) where we either practise for ensembles and upcoming concerts or just improve our musical skills.

If we take a day out I love to go to town or to the river Danube with Lisa and some friends or to do a family trip. But sometimes I just relax at home by doing "nothing".
I just don't "go out" like a teenage girl is nowadays supposed to do. I don't drink and don't smoke so that's why I'm not really interested in clubbing. Where we live, weed and things are unfortunately very common among teenagers which means that with my attitude I am not really one of the "popular girls". But I prefer my few really good friends than being "liked" by everybody just because I want to "fit in". ;)

Regarding our music I never thought we would ever "get that far" and still this is just the beginning and I can't wait to really start with our original songs. For me there is definitely no alternative to making music anymore and I know that we're doing the right thing.

The reason that I can actually pay that much attention on making music are my parents because they support me and my sister in every way possible so I'm extremely thankful for that. Nevertheless I still want to thank you and your friends who motivate us with great messages, visit our concerts and buy our CDs because that's what makes the whole thing fun! All of you just make this crazy dream possible, thank you!

I think with the arts one can do a lot of god things for this world - Make people more happy or help them. I admire those artists who do/did that whether they are/were musicians, writers, painters, poets or whatever. If we get people to smile or to be happy with our music then that is the best feeling ever.

Of course, I did not do everything right in my life and on some occasions I just wanted to go back in time and handle things differently. I guess you know what I mean. But I also learned a lot from that and right at the moment I'm just extremely happy and in my opinion am living a perfect life.

If I have time for it I like horseriding, skiing, (motor)biking, drawing and writing poems. I also love listening to music, especially to bands from the 50's and 60's. I can't really stand mainstream radio music and if I hear Rihanna, Kate Perry and Lady Gaga 3 times an hour I usually become depressive – or aggressive, depending on my mood ;)

The most common musicians and bands on my playlist are (:
Pink Floyd, The Who, Chuck Berry, Elvis, The Arctic Monkeys, Ray Charles, The Kinks, Simon and Garfunkel, Santana, Sting, Bob Marley, Norah Jones, Never Shout Never, The Last Shadow Puppets, John Mayer, Cat Stevens, The Police, Bob Dylan, The Byrds... and of course THE BEATLES! For me, these four gentlemen are an example for people who touched millions of people with their music and achieved the impossible.

By the way: If you have music that you really like, feel free to write me because I'm always thankful if someone helps me discovering good bands. In general: Do you have any questions, stories, tricks, jokes or criticism for me? Just go for it and write me (: I love reading and answering them all.

So, that's it for now! Thanks for having the endurance to read all of that :)
I wish that all your dreams will come true, that you will achieve your goals and that you will have a wonderful day today. Life is a game we just gotta play it.

Much love,

Mona
