English Lyrics

Seeed
is a German Reggae- resp. Dancehall-formation from Berlin who founded in 1998 and got famous in Germany and surrounding countries. Today Seeed are eleven people including 3 singers, a brass/wind compartment and a DJ. First they were known for the stylistically rather untypical instruments like trombone and saxophone. But soon they cultivated a bias for bass-oriented and computer produced Riddims.

The history leads us to the music festival at Glastonbury (South of England) in the year 2005. 10.000 optimistic people bustled around for the performance of the singer Rousin Murphy.

At the end of her gig the Seeed formation, who was totally unknown in England till then, entered the stage, there just were kind of 40 bold people - the rest was yawning void. But at the end of their performance the place was crowded again, and thousands of new fans celebrated a boisterous party with them.

Their biggest hits in the German-speaking area had been, besides Aufsteh'n, "Dickes B", "Ding" and "Music Monks".

On 9 June 2006 Seeed played at the opening ceremony of the Soccer World Cup at Munich and so were visible and audible for about 1,5 billion people.
