Instrumental
line-up of the MonaLisa-Version
Mr. Tambourine Man was the first song we had chosen for our concert. Our Dad wanted to study a song which included four different voices, a kind of choir. He suggested thist song and we agreed. I remember that we practiced the 4-voiced choir even in the evenings of our skiing holidays, after we had come home from the ski runs. We often changed the voices to achieve an optimum harmony.
To attain the original sound of a 12-string guitar which the Troggs used to play, I (Lisa) played on our "Line 6"-Guitar as on this instrument one can imitate various sounds, including the one of a 12-string guitar.
It was the song on which we probably worked hardest. Four voices sound homogenous concerning both the pronounciation and the rhythm in order to sound harmonical and not like chaos. And also keeping the meter and the tempo was not that easy. Well, many things sound easy but they aren't. On the other side there are songs that sound much more demanding than they are. So that's just fair ;)
Mona: Rhythms-Guitar, 2nd Voice
Lisa: Lead-Vocals, Lead-Guitar
Michaela: Percussion, 3rd Voice
Daddy: Bass, 4th Voice
